Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department started its education program as a part of Sakarya Engineering Architecture Academy in 1980. The education and training activities were conducted in Istanbul Technical University Sakarya Faculty of Engineering between 1982-1992. In those years, the lectures were performed in Sakarya and all of the technical lectures were given by ITU academic staff.
Sakarya Faculty of Engineering became a part of Sakarya University in 1992, it has been serving for 22 years. With its laboratories, classes and the academic staff, the department is now one of the most developed Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments recently established in Marmara Region.
